The 4th New Zealand Games will be held in March 2010
at venues throughout Hawkes Bay.
Participants from all over the world will compete in the
multi-sport event
which will stamp itself on the calendar during March every
year.
5 team and individual sports will be on the programme including
Basketball, Netball, S.C.U.B.A., Soccer and Wii
(Pairs).
No qualifying standards or times are required to enter the New Zealand
Games. The only criteria is that participants wish to participant in a
competitive yet social manner
On Friday night there will be a meet and greet at the Bluewater Sports Cafe where
you can renew old friendships and make new ones. On Saturday there will be a
party with entertainment at the Bluewater Sports Cafe.
The New Zealand Games has grown from the Hawkes Bay Masters games which has
been running successfully for the previous seven years. With a huge demand
from those non Masters to compete, the time is right in Australasia to start
an open Games, where all participants are welcome to participate. Of course,
there will still be Masters age groups to differentiate between those
“Youngsters” and those who are of “Mature Age”
These games are not in competition to the existing “Masters Games” but will
fill a niche for those waiting for Masters Qualification, and those who wish
to begin to enjoy the successful format of multi event competition and
social camaraderie
The 2010 New Zealand Games is another major event managed and presented by
International Events Incorporated.
